Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19, 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her most prominent character is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The show ended on the 13th, 2012 following the completion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, Speech and Family Therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English heritage. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish roots and stated that she is a part of Passover seders.
